34th Annual Shenandoah Valley Model Train & Railroading Show

In addition to operating the Museum, the club also sponsors the ANNUAL MODEL TRAIN SHOW, aka the Annual Shenandoah Valley Model Train and Railroading Show. The show features model train sales, railroad historical societies, model railroad club layouts, railroad memorabilia and books for sale. Refreshments are available which include hamburgers, hot dogs, BBQ and snacks provided by the Expo management.

Traditionally, this event is held on the first Sunday in May, HOWEVER, due to a scheduling conflict with another major train show, we are obliged to reschedule the 2020 show to the third Sunday in May , namely May 17, from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm, at Augusta Expoland, Fishersville, Virginia. Mark your calendars now!! This year (2020) is the 34th annual show. Use Exit 91 on I64. GPS address is 277 Expo Road, Fishersville, VA 22939
Admission: Adults $5.00, Children under 12 with adult: Free.
Free parking – Food available (HBs, HDs, BBQ, sodas)

The Augusta County Railroad Museum and Model Railroad Club is a “not-for-profit” organization. Proceeds from the show are used to promote the Museum’s ongoing displays of prototypical memorabilia plus all of the model displays that include four different scales. The Museum is open to the public every Friday from 5:00 to 8:00 PM and every Saturday from 1:00 to 5:00 PM in the Staunton Mall just south of the town of Staunton on US11. (Use exit 220 on I81 to US11 north to the Mall. ) Admission is free.
